Standing the test of time
Water fittings must always be reliable within affordable housing; however, lockdown illuminated the need for products that limit maintenance and repairs – especially when residents are trying to limit physical contact and people entering their homes.
Bristan has a commitment to creating products that last, which is why every tap and shower is tested in our UKAS accredited in-house testing facility at every stage of development. This ensures our products comply with the standard and voluntary legislation and fundamentally stand the test of time.
We believe it’s necessary to test far beyond the normal; therefore, our showers are tested to the equivalent of 130 years, whilst our taps are turned on and off 80,000 times to ensure endurance. As well as this, our taps undergo high-pressure testing, so they can handle 25 times the standard water pressure.
We’ve recently extended guarantees across a selection of our Bristan taps from 5 to 10 years. Made possible by our comprehensive lifecycle testing and the introduction of enhanced components, taps are now twice as durable and have smoother operation.
