Christmas comes early for UK Plumber Of The Year, Martin Warnes

Martin Warnes received his winner’s prizes from Bristan, worth over £2,000, after winning the 2019 UK Plumber of the Year Competition.

Essex based Martin takes home a whole host of Bristan products including the Colonial Bath Shower Mixer, Hourglass Basin Mixer with Clicker Waste, Club Sink Mixer, Prism Sink Mixer and more.

Also included in the prize bundle is a Bristan Gallery Quartz Sink and a Rapid 4 in 1 Boiling Water Tap, completing a stylish look for Martin’s brand-new kitchen.

The 2019 competition saw over 400 plumbers enter from across the country, with Martin taking the top spot, including a £15,000 prize.
A plumber since 2007, Martin started out as a local apprentice and became self-employed in 2009 as the owner of M L Warnes Plumbing & Gas Services. Since then he has expanded his business bringing on four more plumbers, two kitchen fitters, three office staff and a kitchen designer onto the team.

Commenting on his new Bristan products, Martin said: “I am delighted to have won the competition and I can’t actually believe that a plumber from such a small seaside town could actually win. For the sponsors donating the prizes, I think it’s absolutely great, and they have been amazingly generous.

“I will look forward to using the new sink and boiling water tap in my own home, as we are having a new kitchen fitted after Christmas. Thank you everyone at Bristan again so much.”
