What's new at BristanNew designs and new finishes available now

Background

When the Council went to Plumbase in nearby Wellingborough with the brief, they put forward a selection of taps and showers from Bristan, which were competitively prices but didn’t look or feel cheap. Plumbase knew that Bristan would champion any repairs or spares needed as part of their after sales service, which would be added peace of mind for the council that any installation or maintenance issues could be dealt with swiftly.

Solution Providers

The specification included Bristan’s value lever, cross top and high neck pillar taps for both baths and basins. All the taps are durable and chrome plated for a clean, stylish finish.

In addition to bath and basin taps, the council’s specification included replacement showers. Plumbase put forward Bristan’s Joy and Joy Care electric showers. The Joy 9.5kW thermostatic shower is a contemporary unit in white with a digital, push button operation, phased shut down to reduce limescale build up and a temperature control feature called ThermoSafe® which regulates temperature output for a safer showering experience.

Safety Comes First

The Joy Care 8.5kW shower, endorsed by the RNIB, also features a number of functions to make it suitable for people with varying capabilities. As well as a maximum temperature setting which can be set by the installer to ensure safe showering, it has large, easy to move dials, raised markings and an audible click when settings are adjusted, an illuminated stop/start button, an LED digital setting display and a grey contrasting back box. It also comes with the option of longer rise rail and handles styles dials.

Ease of Installation

Kettering Borough Council commented; “The taps and showers started being installed at the end of 2015 and so far we have had good feedback from our installers and tenants. Our installers tell us that the products are simple and easy to fit, which helps us to turn around replacements quickly. Bristan products, are good quality, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing which allows us to uphold the standards for our tenants and give them a home they can be proud of.”

By working closely with Plumbase, Bristan is able to ensure a reliable stock supply for the council, so whenever units or spares are required, the products are on the shelf ready for selection.
