#BRISTANBULLETIN: Sink Smarter
8th November 2018
Positive news for the industry this week, as results from the Construction Products Association’s Construction Trade Survey for 2018 Q3 show that 25 per cent of main contractors experienced an increase in activity during the quarter. But, in the face of rising labour, fuel and materials costs, there is undoubtedly still strain on contractors’ profit margins.
Meanwhile, Construction Scotland has launched its new strategy for the next four years, with the aim of becoming more sustainable, productive, innovative and profitable. As we as an industry become increasingly focussed on sustainability issues, it is encouraging to see Government-backed strategies announced in line with this.
At Bristan, we welcomed Sophie Taylor back to the Bristan Specification team. Following several months gaining experience on the Heritage Bathrooms side of Bristan Group, Sophie returns as Area Specification Manager for East Anglia, North and East London.
